If you hiked up from the Perry Pit parking area, the elevation difference to here is approximately 2,200 feet, so you may be ready for a rest. This rocky perch provides a perfect place to soothe your tired feet, and refresh yourself from among choice 360 degree views.
Unlike the larger "Rocky Corral" cache below, this rocky spot is smaller in stature. The rocks are spread out and it's easy to walk among them. Of course there could be a million hiding spots, but this particular one was chosen to stand out. After all, I don't want you to be left out from a find after the hard work it took to reach this spot.
Go to the highest looking spot among the rocks. Look for a large rock cleave on the SE side of the rock formation, which makes up the west-east part of a 90 degree rock angle. The cache is at the angle junction.
