Geocache Description:

Planking (or the Lying Down Game) is an activity consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. Both hands must touch the sides of the body and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the Internet is an integral part of the game. Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play.

railroader921 and I were exploring this rock for different reasons. The top is black and looked like it had been burnt by fire. However, it's just an unusual layer of natural color.

The smooth top and size of the rock made me recall a news item about planking, something I saw this winter on the 10 o'clock news. Suddenly, this rock alongside the trail fit in perfectly with the "Perry" themed caches we were placing and it was dubbed "Perry Planking."

You don't have to engage in Planking to find the cache, but it would be hilarious to see an ongoing album of geocachers participating in this other silly sport. I'll start with my own contribution, my first ever "Plank."
