A cache in picturesque Thornes Park
There are many reasons to visit Thornes and Clarence park. Flowers, greenhouse, squirrels, lake with ducks and geese. Then there’s the sport facilities – tennis, bowls, pitch and putt, running track and field sports.
Children’s playground and skateboard area.
Lots of space to roam, café and even a plant sales centre which provides employment for people who would otherwise find it difficult to get work.
And then, of course, there’s geocaching……….
The cache itself is smaller than a 35mm container, but bigger than a nano. You'll need to bring your own pen. It is probably better to search for it on weekends, evenings and bank holidays as there might be a lot of activity outside of these times.
Parking is no problem - use one of the 3 car parks or on road in some places.
There are some hills, but it should be accessable by most - paths and mown grass.
