Geocache Description:

Hike to see the beautiful Orvim Falls in the Golan.

This short, but sometimes steep hike takes you to the bottom of the 3 tier Orvim Falls. Best to visit the falls in the Spring when the falls are flowing and the area is in bloom with wild flowers.

Takes about a 1/2 an hour or less to reach the falls - depending on how fast you hike. Allow more time to enjoy the area. There are many smaller falls on the way to Orvim Falls.

To reach the trail head:
From Wasset (Amir) intersection take road 959 West. You will need to turn North onto the oil pipeline road which is between the two entrances to Kelah. Continue along the pipeline road , passig Kelah until you reach an area on the road that curves sharply to the right and immediately sharply to the left. Park the car here. There is a gate and sign across the street at the entrance to Orvim River trail. It is a red trail.

Note: On the pipeline road tere is a trail head for jeeps about 300 meters before the hiking trailhead. At the hiking trail head is the Nature reserve sign for Orvim River and there is a clear red surrounded by two white stripes trail sign.

Continue along the red trail that goes along the river. After about 20 minutes you will reach a view point of the Hula Valley. Here beigins the steep decent to the falls. Once you descend you will reach a trail intersection. One trail continues to the pool at the bottom of the upper falls. The second contiues down a few more meters to the bottom of the lower falls.

After visitng both areas return the way you came.

If you have two cars, there is a trail that continues all the way to the Hula Valley. It is kvery difficult on the legs because you have to hike over boulders.

The cache is hidden along the red trail so there is no reason to go off the track. Just beware of muggles on the trail.

Note: The cache may have been moved a bit. The last geocacher who found it wrote:
"Cache at the beginning of the descent near the waterfall. Below is a stone behind a smaller stone. 2 meters from the stone with the mark towards the waterfall."
