Going for a walk in the Pines is a series I started to encourage other to start walking! I consider myself to be in pretty good shape until I went for a physical. For the most part my doctor said I was, in fact, in pretty good shape BUT... why do they always have to put their BUT in the conversation! My triglycerides were elevated and he told me it was due to my gut (is that a nice way to say I'm fat). So I began walking and biking, plus taking an MMAC Fit class once a week (talk about butt kicking). Along the way I thought, why not hide some caches throughout the path and encourage others to walk with me! Round trip is about a 2 mile walk - LET'S GET FIT!!! You might get some wet feet if there is a lot of rain - watch out for muddy shoes! Made a 2.5 for terrain based of possible water level. There is a prize for FTF! Bring your own pen for this series.
