Geocache Description:

A screw top container with room for swaps etc placed just off the Cwm Gwrelych Geo Heritage Trail in Pont Walby, Glynneath. The terrain rating is for the walk up the trail to the cache area but gz terrain is more 1.5

A lovely walk, with beautiful views.. but not wheelchair/stroller accessible i'm afraid. Although it is child friendly :-)

There are two trails here both are recommended but the geo heritage trail is the one you need to take in order to reach the cache.

Walk back in time and discover the rich industrial heritage and internationally important geology of this unique site. Situated right on the edge of the South Wales coalfield this secluded valley gives access to rocks that would only be found deep below the valleys of South Wales. Discover coal seams, iron rich rocks and wonderful plant fossils that tell the story of ancient environments and past climate change.
