Geocache Description:

This is a small cache. It is camouflaged to blend in with the surroundings.

This was the location of Ed Olson’s store and bakery, established in 1917. Ed would take his horse and buggy down the hill to the smelter for supplies that arrived by rail. Later the trolley brought supplies nearby. The store was passed down in the family and in 1954, the third generation took over, wall to wall groceries and supplies were always available to the townspeople. During that time there were numerous family markets in the area; this market is the only one remaining. While it is no longer in the original family, the history and their memories are lovingly preserved by the present owners.
The soda fountain, which was added in 1986, has become very popular. This fountain was manufactured in Tacoma by the Andrews Co. in 1946 and is still bringing much pleasure to the community.
Don and Beth have given their permission to place a geocache here outside. However, don't ask, they won't divulge its hiding place. You will have to use your detective skills. While is is small it can accomodate a travel bug and maybe small trade items.
Congratulations to our two FTF! Please make sure you respect the store's outside items while searching and relpace cache carefully as found.
