Geocache Description:

Mitzpe Gadot is a memorial and a view of the Golan Heights
at the Six-Day War it was used as an Syrian outpost called Mortfa. This post was one of the most fortified outposts in the Golan Heights.

The post control on the main road that excess the Golan through Gesher Benot Ya'akov. The Observatory is a memorial to soldiers who fell in the Golani Brigade at the Six Day War to Shlom hagalil operation. The monument symbolizes the brigade's departure breakthrough on the Golan during the Six Day War
Syrian outpost was evacuated to the west of the Hula Valley and demonstrates the significant strategic advantage that the Syrians on the valley before the war. Control of the Syrian outpost was mainly on Kibbutz Gadot many suffered the impact of post Hmorfta.
As soon as the fighting ended in the Six Day War were members of the Syrian outpost grouping together with Northern Command chief General David Elazar.
