This is the 2nd cache of 9 in a circular walk of approx 3.8 miles.
It is steady walk, which should take about 2 ½ hours. It does have some inclines and so has a slightly higher difficulty and terrain rating but this does not mean any of the caches are particularly difficult or arduous to find.
Good boots/wellies are a good idea especially after bad weather as some of the paths may get quite muddy and wet in places. An Ordnance Survey Map would be useful for this walk, as would a pair of tweezers and a pen.
This series of caches has been designed as a geo-walk in the beautiful countryside around the Derbyshire village of Repton.
In a bid to encourage people to walk the entire route the co-ordinates to 1 of the caches is hidden within another cache, for this reason it is advisable to follow the route in number order from #1 - #9.
This cache series is not suitable for all as some of the terrain is unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
There is ample parking available at the start of the series, at the bottom of Red Lane.
Stealth is required for some of the caches in this series. Please ensure all caches are re-hidden well so as not to be of interest to passing muggles.
Please be aware that some of the footpaths cross farmland where livestock may be grazing, so dogs may need to be on a lead.
The cache sizes range from nano to regular and all are placed on public footpaths.
It is worth noting that there are also other caches in the area which may be of interest.
