This cache is part of a 7+1 series which leads you around Batworth Lake and Bury Lake. You will need to collect the co-ords from each cache if you want to find the bonusGates close for vehicle's at 6pm in the winter and 8pm in the summer, please check before parking in car park, however you can park outside and there is access 24/7 on foot.

Come and explore the lakes at Rickmansworth
Aquadrome Local Nature Reserve.
The 41 hectare site is situated at the northern end of the
Colne Valley Regional Park.
The Local Nature Reserve you see today is the result of
gravel extraction. The gravel extraction left behind large
“holes” in the valley floor that now form the two lakes.
Some of the extracted gravel was used to build the
original Wembley Stadium.
The lakes naturally filled with water when extraction
stopped in the 1920s, aided by natural springs.
Batchworth Lake is now topped up by the River Colne,
and then drains into the lower lying Bury Lake.
There are a range of activities to try on the lakes
including windsurfing, canoeing, water skiing, kayaking,
sailing, fishing and model yacht sailing.
