This find has a lot of heart and only a worthy cacher may seek it...
It is a small container located at one of the entrances to Hetton Lyons Country Park remember to bring a pen or pencil to sign log like a worthy cacher needs to be told this...
It is located to one of the many car park entrances to the park and ideal spot to start for the other caches nearby.
This country park is laid out on part of the site of the former Hetton Lyons colliery with the park being completed in 1993 and has many picturesque views.
Facilities include football pitches, a cycling track used by the local cycling club for race meetings and also special needs, canoeing tuition provided by qualified instructors being available for people from all walks of life.
There are 3 lakes which are home to many wildlife, swans and ducks to name a few. The names of the lakes are Stevenson Lake, Blossom Pond and the largest is Lyons Lake.
Hetton fishing club use Stevenson Lake but it is also available to the public upon buying a day ticket from Sunderland City Council
Horse riding on a designated bridle path is also one of the main features.
