Geocache Description:

At the end of Ocean Avenue in Carmel-by-the-Sea is of course the world famous Carmel beach with its beautiful views and another unique visual surprise. It's a rusted steel sculpture on a fence. This sculpture has no official name and it was created in 2005 by local artist Michael Largent.

Originally there was a similar sculpture in the same place made of thinner steel which was much more risque than what is there today. Over the years the original sculpture became damaged. Only a small portion of it remains which is on the right side of the fence. Have a look at the whimsical faces and unusual creatures on this unique piece of metal art. It will bring a smile to your face. On the sculpture you will see credit given to the orginal artist Mark Perlman, and to a collaborator Bruce Partridge, who worked with Michael Largent on the present day piece.

This cache will require stealth since this location is very busy with tourists.
