Geocache Description:

This is a series of six caches, to which two other caches can easily be added. The round begins and ends at the southern end of Rosebank gardens on the A449 just south of Malvern town centre. This is an interesting walk using some less well-known paths on the Worcester Beacon (northern part of Malvern Hills). Please note that if all nine caches are completed in one walk the ascent is nearly 300 metres (1000 foot) and much of the terrain is steep and rough underfoot in places. Good footwear is needed and weather on the top of the Beacon may be significantly different to that experienced in the town. You will need a pen and tweezers for some of the caches. Others are large enough to hold trackables. The title names may assist in locating the cache (though some may not help in winter). Caches have been placed with permission from Malvern Hills Conservators. If the route is done as a circuit it is best to start with number 1 unless you are happy with steep descents.

Return to the path and continue diagonally up the hill to a minor road. Cross the road (slightly left) and continue up a series of six zigzags to a major path contouring the hill. Turn left and shortly fork right on a minor track that will take you round below the second cache. Terrain on the final approach to the cache involves brambles and a short scramble – please take care with young children.

The cache is a small tub that would take a small trackable. Enjoy the view!
