Geocache Description:

Small container in the northern portion of Pine Creek.

Pine Creek is a DNR property, partially owned by the DNR and private land owners. It is used mostly for hunting and fishing, and gets its name from the creek running through it. The northern zone is mostly swampland, with drier land and fields along the eastern edge, and a thin strip of trees along the western edge, where you will find this cache. You can park along the road, and it is a short bushwhack to the cache. In the middle of summer, you can probably add .5 to the terrain rating. NOTE: This area is open to hunting, so wear appropriate clothing in season. The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Daniel Hatleli of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager. The DNR Notification form and land manager information can be obtained at: (visit link) Thanks also to Lois Larson of the DNR for his assistance.
