This makes a good drive-by as you go along the A50. Flat terrain, across grass. Parking close by.
The cache is a clip lock box with Log book and pencil inside.
High Legh Village used to be in the privileged position of having its own water supply. The Water Tower you can see from this cache was built in 1938, but it is no longer in use.
The nearby houses are on the site of a Prisoner of War camp, and the white houses to the North West were built for the Officers of the camp.
When the planes take off in this direction from Manchester Airport you get a good view of the planes.
