Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series of caches with the same name. Path is not too suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs etc. The best way to get to this cache is from the very top of Badswell lane, where there is normally space for a car to park; continue down the rough looking road ahead, but don't worry, what seems to be rubble soon becomes a grassy lane. You are looking for medium/smaller sized tupperware container with a few small treasures and a log book inside. Happy Hunting!!

This Cache was placed here on Easter Sunday 2012.

Badswell is the remaining well from old times where farmers used to stop and let their dogs and cattle drink, whilst transporting cattle from field to field on this land. At the end of this country lane, there is an opening to the river, a little bay, which is more likely where the cattle were allowed to stop, drink and wade in the water. This lane trails off down to the river from the village of Appleton, a small country village with several farms, a very good quality local village pub, and a well stocked village community shop.

This seemed like the perfect location for a series of caches, as I have lived in the village all of my life and because it is a beautiful stretch of country land which I wish many people can enjoy as much as I have done for all these years. I hope you have fun hunting for this cache and the further caches in this series which I hope to plant in the future!
