Fireman's Ladder - Rung #23 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

sharant: We're not managing to keep this series well maintained, some have either gone or never been found right after maintenance, and these lovely views and excellent countryside has been visited by pretty much everyone local who is going to. HS2 would cut it in half sooner or later anyway, so it's time to go. THANK YOU to GeordieSamurai for placing the series, which now joins you in retirement...

Geocache Description:

You are now looking for a Small black clip-lock box (magnetic).

This is cache No 23 of 23 caches on a circular route along public footpaths and roads around Aston-by-Stone, Yarlet Bank and Pire Hill areas, with some great views looking back towards Stone Town. The final stages of the route will take you right past the Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Headquarters which has a memorial garden adjacent to the public foot path. The garden is open to the general public, feel free to make time for a short stop-over to reflect on the great work that these individuals have provided in the past.

The full length of the circular route of 23 caches is approximately 5 miles in total, however this can be reduced to 2 miles by using ‘the short cut’ between cache no 5 and cache no 20, if a shorter walk is desired.

Parts of the route can be very wet and muddy, so walking boots or wellingtons are recommended.
