This cache is placed on another back route roundabout the small village of Dairsie and could be done as part of a larger circular walk taking in some other caches to the west and south of Dairsie. The coordinates were recorded with an accuracy of 2m, so there is only one real hiding place, hence no hint/clue.
This road leads past the Old Manse for Dairsie parish, although it is now a rental ‘cottage’. It is a Grade B listed building designed by the architect Robert Balfour of St Andrews, and built 1825-6 by William Thomson of Blebohill and David Martin of Craigrothy.
If you come here at dawn or dusk and are quiet, you can sometimes see deer moving through the obvious low ground over in the fields.
The cache is a pill-pot style and was initially stocked with:
- 5p, 2p, 1p
- Log book and Geocaching note
