Lavvo-uka Traditional Cache

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Geocache Description:

N: Cachen er en liten plastboks. Opprinnelig innhold: log i ziplock, blyanter, en liten lekebil, en Donald-kortstokk og noen utenlandske småmynter. Pass på at boksen ikke blir synlig for mugglere.

E: The cache is a small plastic box. Contents when put out: log in ziplock, pencils, a small toy car, a Donald Duck deck of cards, and some foreign coins. Make sure the box doesn't become visible to muggles.

N: Cachen ligger ved stranden i Fagerheimbukta. Her var teamets junior på ”lavvo-uke” da han gikk i den glimrende barnehagen på Tyholttunet for en del år siden. En hel uke på vårparten var barnehagen erstattet med lavvo, bål og strand! Helt topp! Stranda (egentlig er det to strender, med litt stein mellom) er ok ellers også, med picnic-bord og det hele, og det er sjelden mye folk her. Liten parkeringsplass rett ovenfor, eller man kan sykle eller gå hit langs Ladestien. Sistnevnte alternativ anbefales!

E: The cache is place by the beach in Fagerheimsbukta bay. The Team's junior partner once spent a full week in spring here (the "Lavvo-week") when in the excellent Tyholttunet kindergarten. For a full week kindergarten meant a big tent (a "Lavvo" in Sami; now a general term for a big "indian-style" tent in Norway), campfires, and the beach! Wonderful for the kids! The beach - or strictly two, with some stones in between, is ok, with picnic tables, and the place is rarely crowded. There's a small parking lot nearby, but you may also bike or walk along the Ladestien trail. Recommended!
