Geocache Description:

Please read the directions below before heading in to the bushes from parking! No bushwhacking is required if you follow the directions!

Don't have any travel bugs to drop off? No problem! Perhaps there will be some for you to pick up and move along.

The cache has a pad lock on it, but it is not locking the box.

The cache is an ammo box and is easy to find by following the directions. I can walk from the parking area to the cache in less than 2 1/2 minutes. After the original ammo box was muggled we made this one a bit more secure. You will see what we mean when you get there.

1) Good parking is at the McDonalds restaurant at the intersection of Hwy 151 Expressway and Westover Hills Blvd.

The parking coordinates are: N 29° 27.719 W 098° 41.596. The spaces on the street are now marked as "No Parking", so park in the main lot.

2) From there, walk down the south side of Westover Hills Blvd toward Sea World and away from McDonalds for about 475 feet. Don't cross the blvd.

3) When you get to the No Parking sign on a YELLOW pole, turn left away from the blvd and walk toward the bushes. (If you are dropping someone off without parking, drop them at the No Parking sign)

4) Walk about 100 feet straight away from the blvd. When you see the two clusters of cactus you are at the right place. Walk between the cactus clusters and follow your GPS from there.

This is meant to be an easy find, so please feel welcome to come by anytime to drop off or pick up Travel Bugs, Geo-Coins and any other trackable items. A Travel Bug drop is not required to claim a "find" or to pick up a Travel Bug. Out of town cachers are always welcome and encouraged to stop by whenever in the area.
