Geocache Description:

Looking for a container which holds nothing more than a log. Bring you own pencil.

There used to be a school here named Stewart Russell School which my children attended from K-8. As years went on I also volunteered at the library. For many years the school that stood here was an integral part of our lives.

Time moves on, things change. Stewart Russell School held its final assembly on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 and each student was provided with an individualized gift package that included a commemorative (1973 to 2008) T-shirt, a yearbook, a Stewart Russell button, a little commemorative item, and red and white pompoms. Shortly after, the school was closed and building was removed. It was a bittersweet time for our family that still had close ties to the school but now a beautiful park takes over part of the old lot.

Our family, among many others, will never forget when it used to be a school.
