This cache has been hidden for GAG17 - May the Fourth be With You. Anyone finding and logging it before 1800 hrs Friday 04 May, will be frozen in Carbonite and ridiculed at the GAG dinner.
The Forest Planet of Hoth - which looks a lot like the redwood forests of the Pacific Northwest - featured prominently in the 4th movie of the series (or 1st, if you prefer). Darth Maul was killed there by Yoda during UFC 7543, before a galactic-wide live audience estimated at 47.9 billion. Best ratings they'd had in 400 years. Finding this cache as the last of the series would be an extremely good idea. The walk to this cache is a bit longer than some of the other ones I have placed. You can mtn bike fairly close on an unused road, then will have to dismount for the last few metres of weed whacking. There is a suggested parking wpt, for those who have never been to this end of the city. The ground in early May was pretty thorny and a bit damp in places. Long pants would be highly recommended. The cache is a micro hanging in a winter friendly location. As with my other GAG17 caches, don't forget to look under the lid (or at the top of the logsheet) for something that you will need to find the Life Star.
