EN: During my childhood, still during Yugoslavia time, there was "Politikin Zabavnik," the best magazine for children in this region ever. I bought it regularly (well, at first my mom bought it for me 
) because it was full not only of long comic books (Prince Valiant, Rip Kirby, Mandrake the Magician, Asterix, Flash Gordon…), and short, 1-page comic strips, but also a bunch of interesting articles from around the world. I still have a bundle of old “Politikin Zabavnik” magazines back home, I never had heart to throw them away, and now I think I never will.
Anyway, one of the comics that was published almost regularly was "Hägar the Horrible." Nice short comics about fat Viking, who has more problems with his family (wife Helga, daughter Honi and son Hamlet) than in all their invasions and robberies.
Recently, I ran into this comic on the net again, so ended up exploring the internet about him, finding all the published comics, and recalling my childhood in the process.

HR: Kad sam bio dijete, još u vrijeme Jugoslavije, izlazio je "Politikin Zabavnik", najbolji tjednik za djecu na ovim prostorima ikad. Ja sam ga redovno kupovao (dobro, u početku je to obavljala mama ) jer je bio pun ne samo kompletnih stripova u sredini broja (Princ Valijant, Rip Kirbi, Mandrak, Asteriks, Flaš Gordon…), pa kratkih stripova na po jednu stranu (nego i gomile zanimljivih članaka iz svijeta. Još uvijek imam gomilu starih Politikinih Zabavnika kod kuće, bilo mi ih je žao baciti, a sad mislim da više nikad ni neću.
Uglavnom, jedan od stripova koji je skoro redovno izlazio je bio "Hogar Strašni", u originalu "Hägar the Horrible". Simpatičan strip na jednoj strani o debelom Vikingu, koji ima više problema s vlastitom familijom (ženom Helgom, sinom Hamletom i kćerkom Heni) nego na svim svojim pljačkaškim pohodima.
Nedavno sam ponovo naletio na taj strip na netu, pa sam istraživajući došao i do svih objavljenih tabli, te se usput i prisjetio djetinjstva. Ako nikad niste čuli za Hogara, ovdje je odličan sajt gdje možete saznati sve o njemu i njegovim avanturama, te naći i sve do sada objavljene stripove.
