Geocache Description:

Through the 1800's Levenwick was an important Herring station. At its peak 26 sail-boats regularly anchored in the bay and landed their herring which was cured and packed before export.
The remains of the station can be seen and explored at the taing on the ness of Levenwick.

Follow the signs for Levenwick Beach and park at the carpark there. Go onto the beach and head east. Scramble up and over the fence and head north towards the ness. The cache is a couple of hundred yards along, quite near the edge so keep an eye on young children.
Cache is a small plastic click-lock box with a log, pencil and some swaps.
