When I was working on my 100-day streak, there were many days when I wen out by myself to grab a quick one to keep the streak alive. One of those days, I went looking for "Grady's Fisher Cache" (GC2JN9X). I was still relatively new to caching and so I found myself wandering around at the side of the road, when I heard someone yelling at me from the house across the road. He asked me what I was doing, then proceeded to harangue me about "you crazy people" who are "driving me crazy" because "I own all the property on both sides of the road" and "I haven't given anyone permission to put anything on my land," yada, yada, yada, and "it's on the other side of the road in that tree, anyway!"
I apologized profusely and told him I would have the listing deactivated so nobody else would come looking for it (while he continued to yell at me), then I went across the road, retrieved the cache and muggled it (took it home). I signed the log, and logged it online, *then* emailed the CO. My first LTF! (Last to Find, lol).
When I emailed the CO to let her know what had happened, she was very apologetic and gracious about it, and we have since become good caching friends, so I guess it worked out okay. I offered to return the cache and its contents, but she said I could keep the container and use it for another cache, so here it is. I couldn't resist telling the story, LOL!
