Butterfly Kisses Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Balayang: I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, Mistraluna, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

Geocache Description:

Micro cache. GPS jumps around here for some reason. Watch out for muggles here - pedestrians, passing traffic and shops over the road.

Please don't give hints in your log entry and spoil the hunt for the next cacher who comes along. Thanks

Growing up in Mandurah, I have seen many wedding parties emerge from the doors of this church. Some of them were family members, some of them were friends, but the majority of them were strangers. Nonetheless, you can’t help but stop and watch, however fleetingly, and silently wish them happiness in their future lives together.

I have called this cache Butterfly Kisses as a dedication to my Dad, and to fathers everywhere. I had never wanted the big white wedding for myself, but that was a choice I made. At the time, I didn’t stop to think that I might have been depriving him of his right to walk his only daughter down the aisle and “give” me away. Though there have been times when he probably would have paid somebody to take me. Just kidding!!

Any fool can be a Father, but it takes a real man to be a Dad!!

Anyway, just click on the hyperlink below to go to a video of the Bob Carlisle song "Butterfly Kisses". Michael Bolton has also done a cover of this song, as has Westlife and Sir Cliff Richard.

Please take the time to watch it and listen to the lyrics. I hope you think of your own father, whether he is still here with you or not. I also hope that you think about your own children, and how precious they are, and how quickly they grow.

Did you ever give your father “Butterfly Kisses”? Do you get them from your own children or grandchildren? They are very, very special, just like real dads.

I think I need to go and ring my dad right now and tell him how much I love him.

Good luck with finding the cache.
