Geocache Description:

Bring your own PEN, the log surface best accepts ballpoint pen. Use only one box on the log sheet to log your find; use initials and abbreviate as necessary. PLEASE REPLACE IN THE EXACT SPOT FOUND; keep it on the "narrow side" because the wider half is used by the Parking Authority. This has damaged a previous cache container.

Beware of the passing muggles as there is heavy sidewalk traffic, but the caching shouldn't impede traffic flow.

"The Wall" is the largest painted wall ad in New York City. Located at 496 8th Avenue, at 34th Street, this 8-story building overlooks the heavily trafficked area of Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. On a clear day, the billboard can be seen from 20 blocks down 8th Avenue. It is 225 feet high and 95 feet wide. It's stated that a half ton of enamel paint is used in each mural. It costs upwards of $175,000/month for advertisers to rent the space. Most murals use 4 painters and can take up to 12 days to paint each mural. Most murals remain for 1-3 months before design/advertisers change.

As a result of the constant changes and the rather artistic nature of many of the murals, the 'project' of this cache is that finders upload and post a photo of the ad on "the Wall" at the time of find. Photo posting is just a fun option and not a requirement of the cache (simply sign the log to credit the find). Please do not post spoiler photos of the cache location or of the log/container itself.
