Recycled Geolitter Back in the Game Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

I finally got back here to pick this one up. I am amazed at how much this area has changed. When I put this cache out GZ was a muddy road allowance. Now there is a nice house just down the road. Time to put this one away. Thanks to everyone that found it!

Geocache Description:

Formerly part of the cache “O what a rogue & peasant slave am I” this regular size LnL was placed west of Red Deer, Alberta on August 15, 2008. Originally part of a puzzle series set up by forestfyre07 to familiarize cachers with some of the more famous soliloquies from Shakespeare's works this cache became a stand-alone traditional in 2009 when the final of the puzzle series was archived.

Several well known Alberta cachers logged the original cache including Nika05, Trefoil Traveler (at the time Geoguider54), choice1, j2d2, One Bad Ant, garlic gulpers, Sleepy_hollow, Black Shark, bish0p, Strider's Ride and van der Decken who left the following poetic log online:

A dull and muddy day

Leaden clouds in leaden sky

Scudding thru the heavens

Driven by the howling tempest

Summer not, but fall.

Cold, cold and windy. I was glad to make the quick find and retreat to the warmth of the car. This is August, fer cryin' out loud; who in the heck ordered October weather? Oh well. Climate is what you expect; weather is what you get.

TFTC

After being archived in March of 2010 the cache sat undisturbed for over a year until rustywa and I stumbled upon it in 2011 while searching for another cache in the area. We signed the original log book but did not remove the cache. In 2012 kristaandgeoff became the last cacher to sign the log book over 2 years after the cache had been archived! At the time of his signing the cache was almost completely buried. With the previous CO’s permission I retrieved this LnL and put it back into the game as a new cache. I hope those Alberta cachers who once found the original cache will come out to sign the new cache’s log book and that many other cachers will also come find it as well.

At the time of placing, in keeping with the theme all of the swag in this cache including the FTF button for the first finder are recycled items from archived caches that were never collected.
