This cache is placed in honor of a significant milestone birthday, and has been placed by the other half of the Halfauer Team. Although Steve's birthday is in April, send good wishes his way no matter when you find the cache!
All initial trade goods are symbolic of Steve's interests. This cache is located at the Greenburgh Nature Center, a 33-acre nature preserve with trails, a pond and gardens. There are woodlands, two wetland sites, and an old orchard succession site. Grounds are open dawn to dusk. Cache has been placed with permission from the GNC managing director. No charge for parking or using the trails. There is a charge for indoor exhibits, but this is not necessary for finding the cache. Indoor exhibits are closed on Fridays. If you take a bus, it will only get you to the bottom of the hill. That adds about a half mile up hill, and raises terrain rating to a 3.5 or so.
