EN: Petar Preradovic square is among Zagreb citizens better known as “Cvjetni Trg” (Flower Square), because of the kiosks with flowers that are traditionally housed there.
Square is a pedestrian zone and is located in the center of town, about 200 meters from main (Ban Jelacic) Square. The square and surrounding streets are full of bars and cafes, all of which have outside terraces with tables, so as soon as the sun shines a bit, tables are filled so quickly that it is impossible to find a place to sit. The most interesting time to come here (when the weather is nice) is on Saturdays from 10-15h, during the so-called "Špica" (peak time). People come here to meet their friends, take the children for a stroll, have a drink, and last, but not least, present to the public eye your new purchases of clothes and shoes. Here you may notice many paparazzi who stalk the so-called croatian "celebrities" and photograph them because they think croatian people are immensely interested to know who appeared with whom on the "peak time", and because of this, most gossip/trash magazines are full of “news” like that.
Flower Square is known for various gatherings and stalls set by various organizations, religious and others, for the distribution of leaflets and other forms of publicity, shows and activities, etc. It also organizes different commercial promotions.
At the northern end of the square is the Orthodox church, built in 1866.

The square was created in 1897. by demolition of some building blocks. Then it also got the name which it carries again today, because during the socialist Yugoslavia it was named "Square of brotherhood and unity".
The final shape of the square is obtained in the 1930s, when it "became a lively and crowded urban Point". That importance is kept up to date, despite the reconstruction which was done in 1995 and which according to many, was in reality a devastation. Notable moment was also the erection of a monument to Petar Preradović in 1954.
In 2007. Is the year of mass protests against the intentions of entrepreneur Tomo Horvatinčić that in the reconstruction plan of the block-square Petar Preradović-Ilica-Gundulićeva- Varšavska demolish two buildings on the north side of the square and build multi-story office and residential space, with large entrance to the mall. Despite several months of protests, Shopping Center “Cvjetni” was built and opened in April of 2011. Opinions differ, but it seems that today only a public garage a few floors below the center, and H & M (first opened in Croatia, then they opened a few) are doing well, while other commercial premises operate relatively poorly (or close down), primarily due to very high cost of rent.

Cache is placed on one of the most populous places in Zagreb, shitloads of muggles in all 360° (hmmm, actually, 180°). Use your stealth techniques, so the cache lasts!

Tada se ovdje dolazi sastati s poznatima, prošetati s djecom, popiti piće, a ujedno i svekolikom puku pokazati novu garderobu i cipele.
