Geocache Description:

This is a multi cache situated on the roadside, not in the grounds of Milntown House.
The Coordinates for the final cache can be found at the first stage of this multi.
The Cache container has room for a logbook & pencil only.


Milntown House is one of the most historic houses in Ramsey.
Originally know as Altadale, this magnificent mansion house dates back to the early 16th century.
It was owned by the Christian family & during the 17th & 18th Centuries, was passed down between the generations within the family.
During the 1830s , the then owner, Deemster John Christian, had the property re-designed to how it stands to date.
For a brief period of time the house was used as a private school then as a Hotel, before once again becoming a family home.

Recently the House & Gardens have been opened to the public. You can now take a tour around this Stunning Mansion House & during the Summer months it's wonderful gardens of which boast a fully working water mill.
For those sceptic's amongst you, there are also ghost tours available, around which is said to be one of the most haunted properties on the island.
