Geocache Description:

'Preparedness' cache placed by members of the Orange County - Division of Emergency Management.

Located along the scenic Heritage Trail, this cache is located less than a half a mile from the OC Emergency Operations Center and served as one of the ‘spotter’ locations for monitoring flooding conditions during Hurricane Irene.

'Preparedness' is filled with information, stickers, and patches for OCEM and the New York Alert (NYALERT) emergency notification site.

FTF gets their choice of one of two small, handheld flashlights in the cache.
