Cache placed here to bring you somewhere tucked away that is proving to be a delightful and quirky place to explore.
Cache is a film canister containing just a logbook - bring your own pencil.
Maximum stealth required when retrieving & replacing as there can be lots of people wandering or admiring the view from the chairs outside the various eateries nearby.
The Old Town has developed into the creative quarter, offering visitors a distinct experience alongside the Turner Contemporary gallery that opened on the 16th April 2011. Visitors can obtain a copy of the creative Margate map from the Visitor Information Centre in Droit House adjacent to the Turner Contemporary.
Margate Old Town is steeped in history. Dating back to the time it was a sleepy little fishing hamlet to the halcyon days of the Dreamland era, there have been an amazing array of events that have shaped the Old Town.
Within the few cobbled streets of Margate Old Town there lies artists' studios and galleries as well as specialist shops and restaurants to delight and entice you.
Friday 11th November 2011 was a special day for Margate Old Town. Crowds gathered to welcome the Queen & Prince Philip on their visit to Margate.
