Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Endicott Park in the City of Brookfield. It is a medium vitamin bottle hidden at ground level. This cache replaces Cache to Eagle, Scout, PAC.

When the original cache, Scout, was placed it was to recognize the landscaping done as an Eagle project by a Scout from Troop71, sponsored by St. John Vianney Church. The city has now more than doubled the size of the park, have opened two more entrances, built a black-topped trail near the freeway. A Eagle project has been done by volunteers from Troop 156, sponsored by Pilgrim Park Middle School, to build a wood-chipped trail South of the blacktopped trail. This was supervised by a Scout working on his Eagle Project. Both trails connect the area to the east, which contains soccer fields, basket ball court, tennis court, and playground, with the area to the west, which also has a playground and a baseball field. Both areas also have port-a-pottys during the summer, and parking. The park can also be accessed by a boardwalk that starts on Toldt Forest Ct. The east end of the park is on Calhoun Rd., the west end is on Peregrine Lane. If you want to better understand the value of this trail look at some of the early logs for GC1522W where cachers did not get within 300 feet of the cache due to the water and swamp. When you walk the boardwalk you will get even more appreciation. If you find three caches in the Cache to Eagle series you may receive a patch by stopping at the PAC Council office at 804 Bluemound Road in Waukesha. An application for a Geocaching Permit has been submitted to Bill Kolstad, Director of the Department of Parks for the City of Brookfield.
7/5/2015 There now has been another Eagle project done in this park. A Eagle candidate from Troop 55 has led a project to mulch the non-paved trails to improve their quality. There is not room to squeeze another cache into the park.
