Ever look up into the night sky and wonder whats going on up there ? Wonder what star might be shining brighter than others ? Curious to where the constellations are ? Would you like to see a planet or two or maybe see the moon through a telescope ? Come bring your family and join us at Cherry Plain State Park with the help from the Albany Area Amateur Astronomers, you can look into the night sky through several powerful telescopes and they will give you a tour through the sky with their powerful laser's ! It will be free and fun for all ages . The star party starts at 9 PM and will be held in the main parking lot. I ask that you arrive at that time so you can get parked , sign log, and still see the equipment before it gets dark. You may stay as little or as long as you like, but it is very important that we do not have headlight interruptions after dark . If you do happen to arrive shortly after dark , or when leaving the main lot ..We ask you to turn of your headlights and just use your parking lights .. !! And Please do not bring your flashlights . This event is the first of several events being held all week ,to jump start the ( wanna be mega) Berkshire Geobash..!! Cloud/Rain date to be announced !!
