The remnants of Tropical Storm Irene blew through here on August 28, 2011. The Dog River rose out of its banks and destroyed everything in its path.
I noticed that the edge of the road here was slowly falling away in the aftermath of the storm. Apparently it was also starting to sink as the soil under the pavement was washing away too. The roads all better at least..
