The remnants of Tropical Storm Irene blew through here on August 28, 2011. The Dog River rose out of its banks and destroyed everything in its path.
Just south of here the the river is compressed by the road in the west and the rail bed in the east. As you can see by the debris a lot of stuff came blowing through here on the way to the Winooski.
There is some beaver activity across the river. This must be one confident beaver...
