Andørja (nordsamisk: Áttir) er ei øy i Ibestad kommune i Troms. Øya var tidligere en selvstendig kommune i Troms fylke, men er nå en del av Ibestad.
Andørja er Nord-Europas fjellrikeste øy, med elleve tinder over 1000 m. Høyeste fjelltopp er Langlitinden med 1277 moh, og den er med det også det høyeste fjellet på ei øy i Skandinavia. Øya har en karakteristisk fjord, Straumbotn, som deler øya omtrent i to.
Andørja var fra 1837 en del av Ibestad formannskapsdistrikt. I 1926 ble Andørja, Astafjord og Gratangen skilt ut fra Ibestad som egne kommuner. Andørja hadde da 1 420 innbyggere.
1. januar 1964 ble Andørja og Rolla (Andørja og Ibestad kommuner) slått sammen til Ibestad kommune. Andørja kommune hadde på dette tidspunktet en befolkning på 1 330. Dagens befolkningstall er 572 (2008).
I 1994 fikk Andørja fastlandsforbindelse ved byggingen av Mjøsundbrua. 2. desember 2000 ble Andørja forbundet med naboøya Rolla via Ibestadtunnelen, som er en 3396 meter land undersjøisk veitunnel. Det fins også hurtigbåtforbindelse fra Engenes mellom Harstad, Tromsø og omegn.
Navnet Andørja kommer fra norrønt Andyrja. En teori er at det det første ordet and som kommer fra ordet mot, mens yrja betyr grus eller stein. En tolkning er at dette kan referere til bølger som slår mot bergene ved kysten.
Andørja er arrangørplass for Tour de Andørja. Det er kombinert terrengløp, sykkel og fjelltur/-løp (kalles Tripple Challenge) eller deler av det. Det skjer normalt 2. helg i juli. Fjelløpet som også omtales som Årbostadtindløpet, starter ved havets nivå og ender på toppen av Årbostadtinden 1181 moh.

Andørja is an island in Ibestad municipality in Troms. The island was formerly an independent municipality in Troms county, but is now part of Ibestad.
Andørja is Northern Europe's richest mountainous island, with eleven peaks over 1000 meter. Highest mountain peaks are Langli at 1277 meters above sea level, and it is also the highest mountain on an island in Scandinavia. The island has a distinctive fjord, Straumsbotn, which divides the island in half.
Andørja was from 1837 a part of Ibestad presidency district. In 1926 Andørja, Astafjord and Gratangen separated from Ibestad as separate municipalities. Andørja had 1420 inhabitants.
1. January 1964 Andørja and Rolla (Andørja and Ibestad municipalities) were merged to Ibestad municipality. Andørja municipality had at that time a population of 1 330. The current population is 572 (2008).
In 1994 Andørja was connected to the mainland by the construction of Mjøsund bridge. 2. December 2000 Andørja was connected with neighboring Rolla with the Ibestad tunnel, which is a 3396 meter long underwater tunnel. There is also a fastboat connection from Engenes between Harstad, Tromso and the surrounding area.
The name Andørja comes from Old Norse “Andyrja”. One theory is that the first word “And” comes from against, while “yrja” means gravel or stone. One interpretation is that this can refer to the waves crashing against the rocks on the coast.
Every year the event Tour de Andørja is held on Andørja. It is a combined cross-country running, cycling and hiking / running (called Tripple Challenge) race. It normally takes place the second weekend in July.
