Geocache Description:

A nice hike with great views of the red rocks and lots of cool pools for wading.

The Woods Canyon Trail is in the Munds Mountain Wilderness near Sedona, AZ. Start at the Red Rock Ranger District Visitor Center which is along 179 just south of the Village of Oak Creek. Take time to tour the Visitor Center and use the facilities. The trail starts in the SE corner of the parking lot nearest 179. The trail goes 4.25 miles one way to the Red Rock pools where we stopped to soak our feet.

The Arizona Traditions Hiking Club is devoted to hiking and enjoying the outdoors. We have noticed a lack of geocaches along many of the well established trails and decided to set out a few of our own.

Cache is a small camo'd pill bottle. Please bring your own writing instrument. Cache includes several AZRiddlers' signature compasses.

Congrats to flappjack99 for the FTF in freezing rain conditions.

Enjoy the hike!
