This area used to be gravel pits but in the 1950s it was reformed into a lake recreation area with a motor racing circuit around it. This was indeed a beautiful spot and well used, but the powers that be decided they needed a place to dump rubble and old buildings, so the beautiful lake started filling in with debris.
Over the years the lake was totally filled, and now all that is left is this lovely park, that doesn't even bear the lake’s name, and the surrounding new homes.
Please take very good care of the plants. You will need to bring your own pen, and please put cache back appropriately, thanks.
