I was told of the existence of the old sports ground by one of the locals. Was plesently suprised to find the ring road around the oval was still there, but it would be best to park near the memorial and walk. Flat and easy going, a pleasent walk.
Come and see what happens to a sports ground when stumps are called for the last time. A medium sized container hidden just off the cricket pitch. I had fun hiding the cache so I hope you have fun finding it.
Also take some time to have a look at the memorial. Possibly the oldest one in the country. It was built during the First World War to record the names of those who left to serve in the armed forces.
