Here's another hide along the scenic Cotee River for your caching/kayaking pleasure. The closest launch point is Francis Avenue Park but Grey Preserve is also an option. The hours that both are open are roughly dawn to dusk. At Francis Avenue you can drive on the grass to the waters edge to unload/load but must park in the lot while on the water. The cache is named for the one and possibly only spider that I saw during my time there. To claim your smiley for this one you will be required to disembark your vessel, thus the increased difficulty level. If you make landfall where I did, beware of the Spanish bayonet plants. Where did I land? Don't worry, you'll know. The cache contains a log book and has room for small trade items.
