While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Geocache Description:

N: Cachen er en plastboks av det ikke aller minste slaget - dvs at det er plass til litt byttesaker. Inneholder ved utlegg en Lego mini-figur, en liten lekebil, og noen utenlandske småmynter. Samt log i ziplock og et par blyanter.

E: The cache is a plastic container slightly bigger than the smallest, so scope for swapping items for the kids. Original contents: a Lego mini-figure, a small toy car, a few foreign coins, a log in ziplock-bag, and a few pencils.

N: Cachen ligger i Rotvollsfjæra, som trolig er Trondheims fineste strand for både unger og voksne. Bør være ganske grei å finne - dette er en cache du kan la ungene ta hånd om! Her kan man spille fotball, frisbee og alt mulig annet på den svære gressletta, lete etter krabber i stranden, grille mat (offentlige griller for de som ikke har med egen!), og i det hele tatt nyte strandlivet. Når det er sol og sommer (og vår, og høst). Kan bli ganske fullt på de fineste dagene, men det er en del av sjarmen. Atkomst fra Lade forbi Statoil-anlegget; veien fører fram til offentlig parkeringsplass et par hundre meter ovenfor stranda. Til fots og pr sykkel kan man også komme via Ladestien fra vest, eller via Sjøveien, fra Ranheims-siden.

Legg cachen tilbake slik at den ikke blir synlig for mugglere, som det vrimler av her. Og vær obs på mugglerfaren når du leter! Utfordringen med denne cachen er nok loggingen mer enn å finne den - mugglerfaren er ekstrem på fine dager, og det er nok en betydelig utfordring å både plukke fram og returnere uten at noen ser det. Men viktig om boksen skal leve!

E: The cache is located in Rotvollsfjæra, probably the nicest beach in Trondheim both for kids and grown-ups. Should be quite an easy find - you may leave this cache for the small ones. There's plenty of space to play football, frisbee or whatever, the kids may search for shore crabs and other interesting creatures under the stones in the beach, you may have a barbeque (public grills for those that don't bring their own!), or simply enjoy a day on the beach (not that sandy, but this is how Trondheim beaches are). It's a nice place year-round when the weather's nice. May get crowded on sunny days, but that's part of the charm. You may drive to the place from Lade, on a road passing the Statoil Building and leading to public parking just a few 100 m from the beach. If you bike or hike you may arrive via Ladestien from the west, or via Sjøveien from Ranheim.

Make sure to put the cache back so that mugglers can't spot it - they swarm the area. And watch out when searching! The challenge for this cache is surely more logging it than finding it - on a nice day, mugglers abound and it's no easy task both to find and put back without being spotted. But important, if the cache is to survive!
