laserfocusguy: Removed from location as it was always getting wet from rain and morning dew. Also some risk of getting destroyed by a ditch mower. Not to mention getting buried every winter by deep snow plowed off of the nearby road. Thanks to all who searched for it over the years!

Geocache Description:


This "trail" was originally constructed in 1853 as a connection between Mendota and the growing pioneer town of St. Peter. Interestingly it was built with private funds instead of gov't money; not common in those days. Note the close by Geodetic Survey Marker (sign only maybe...I couldn't find the actual marker).
