MBRL - Kinsellas Road Station Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Triam: With the MBRL (now the Kippa-Ring line) has been open for more than a year it's time to archive this cache. It's also probably missing.

Geocache Description:

A magnetic Eclipse tin hidden near the site of the proposed Kinsellas Road Railway Station, the fourth stop of the Moreton Bay Rail Link (aka Petrie to Kippa-Ring Rail line).

It's best not to attempt this one during before and after school drop-off and pick-up times. Outside of these times parking should not be a problem.

A rail-line to Redcliffe was first proposed in 1895 and would have ended on the grounds of the Redcliffe State High School. After more than 115 years the Federal, State and Local governments have agreed to fund and build a rail line.

"The project will provide a 12.6 km dual-track passenger rail line between Petrie and Kippa-Ring, including six new rail stations at Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, Mango Hill, Kinsellas Road, Rothwell and Kippa-Ring." (Source)

This is the third cache (or fourth depending on what direction you're heading in) in this series. I've placed this cache, like all the others, a little away from where the station. This cache will definitely survive the construction as it's on a newly constructed bridge.

NB:At the date of placement there are only caches near four of the six stations that will be built. I wasn't able to find places to hide caches near Kallangur or Murrumba Downs stations.

Congratulations to membsec for being FTF all of the first four. Perhaps membsec will get 6/6. Membsec reminded me I hadn't included a line about the purpose of this series (ie it's lieu of the actual line).
