One of our favorite movies...
The story of George Bailey and this one life changing moment with his younger brother Harry Bailey.
George, Harry and, a few other boys are using shovels to slide down a hill along side a river. George says through a megaphone "And here comes the scare-baby, my kid brother, Harry Bailey.
Harry makes his slide very fast. He passes the marks made by the other boys, and his shovel takes him onto the thin ice at the bend of the river. The ice breaks, and Harry disappears into the water.
George jumps into the water and grabs Harry.
George saved his brother's life that day. But he caught a bad cold which infected his left ear. Cost him his hearing in that ear.
So when you are playing near the water always play safe and remember what could have happened to young Harry Bailey when he played near the water.
