Geocache Description:

Walking along the shore of Muskrat Lake, I have often spotted muskrats, in the water and scurrying into the rocks. A few muskrat lodges can be spotted in the marshy area, at the bottom end of the lake, near Highway 17.

In 1996, Cobden resident Margaret MacDonald was returning home from bingo when she was attacked by a muskrat. The animal bit her on the ankle, but she managed to beat it off with her bag of bingo dabbers. The story was even covered in the National Enquirer – “Granny Fights off Crazed Muskrat with bag of Bingo Markers”. Bill Richardson also gives the incident a short mention in his book Scorned & Beloved.

The cache is not at the posted co-ordinates. To determine the hiding spot you will need to figure out the Scientific Classification of a muskrat and match the items from left column with the right column, thus giving you the values for the cache location. I have left out the Kingdom classification, as I'm sure you already knew it belonged to the Animal Kingdom! Cache is located at N 45° 3A.BCD W 076° 5D.EFE.
