This is the Hebrew University's first Geocache. It is a 5 stage multi which will take you through all the interesting points in the Givat-Ram science campus. You are looking for a 350 ml container. The points are easy to find, but are between 100 to 200m apart. The University is open 24/7 so there is no problem to hunt for this, day or night.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is Israel's second-oldest university, after the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. The Hebrew University has three campuses in Jerusalem and one in Rehovot. The world's largest Jewish studies library is located on its Edmond J. Safra Givat Ram campus. The First Board of Governors included Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud, Martin Buber, and Chaim Weizmann. Four of Israel's prime ministers are alumni of the Hebrew University. In the last decade, seven graduates of the University received the Nobel Prize or the Fields Medal. The Givat Ram campus, named for Edmond Safra, is the home of the Faculty of Science including the Einstein Institute of Mathematics; the Institute of Advanced Studies, the Center for the Study of Rationality, as well as the Jewish National and University Library.
* The coordinates will take you to your first spot. You will find one of the symbols of the Hebrew University and a very famous scientist. Since there is an issue with this WP mark A=5 ! This figure which is riding a bicycle is responsible for more than 50% of the University's income. This photo was taken in a certain day in February A= the day=5
* N31.46 661 E 035.11 816 This is your second stop which is about 100 m away. You will find a nice shady resting point near the grassy null that many of the students love. In this point you will see some birds that cannot move and will never fly. B=number of the birds.
Just a tip: sometimes some of the birds may disappear for some maintenance so look at the sign and see how many birds are suppose to be there!
* N 31.46 604 E 035.11 793 This is your 3rd stop. The grassy null is so nice so stay on it and walk to one of my favorite spots. You will find yourself standing in front of a giant tree that came from far away. On the sign next to the tree there are a lot of interesting facts. C=the widest tree trunk recorded. Just 30-40 m south of the tree there is The National Library of Israel. If you are there during opening hours don’t pass it by and enter the library to see the magnificent Ardon windows. It’s a beautiful piece of art, one floor up. * N 31.46 533 E 035.11 868 This spot is 200m from the last stop. You will find yourself on a nice balcony with a spectacular panorama of The National Museum and the Knesset. On the ground there are some round objects. D=(wooden benches)/2
* N 31.46 456 E 035.11 852 Almost at the end. These coordinets will take you to the edge of the "Givat Ram forest". You will find yourself standing on a wooden walkway. On your right is a sign with the name of the family that donated the money for this walkway. E=the number of letters in the English version of the family's last name.
Now that you have all you need just walk into the forest, the cache is waiting in: N31.46 TNM E035.11 UIF
T = B-C+D
N = E-D+A M = E+D
U = C-D
I = B-E*2
