Geocache Description:

Camp Symonette is located on the backside of the quaint but wonderful settlement of James Cistern, on the island of Eleuthera. It was built Sir Roland Symonette, first Premiere of the Bahamas, as a Summer Camp for Bahamian youth in 1978. It has grown and evolved into the home base for Bahamas Methodist Habitat throughout the year and still hosts the Bahamas Conference of the Methodist’s Church Summer Youth Camp.

The cache is really easy to find. It is a full size ammo can in plain sight. You can park nearby and walk a short ways into the bush. The Director of Bahamas Methodist Habitat and some of the staff and volunteers all live on the property and maintain the cache. Say hello to Abraham, KP, Manex and Brenda. Feel free to introduce yourself to whomever you run into and have a look around camp. It's a great place to make friends.

Small note on cache maintenance: AbeASP is a resident geocacher and will assist in maintaining the cache. Thanks!
