Kalo Nero is a small, quiet village on the south coast of eastern Crete, located on the south slopes of a small canyon. There are several freshwater springs in the area, giving rise to its name (Καλό Νερό = good water).
This cache takes you a small distance into the hills, where you have a nice view over Kalo Nero and the area, including the Libyan sea.
If you want you can drive quite close up to the cache with a car, but for those who enjoy some walking we suggest to use the parking space around N 35° 01.145 E 026° 01.815. From there, it's only a short walk of about 1.5 km to the cache and back.
The cache is not hidden in the wall that is closeby - see the spoiler picture. Please hide the cache well again after logging.

Other places to visit.
The church of Panagia.
Whilst you are here, don't forget to visit the small church of Panagia, that you pass on your way to the cache. The church dates from 1881, and was built on the remains of an older chapel from the 15th century, that was owned by the Kapsa Monastery. It was around this church that people from the nearby village of Perivolakia built the first buildings, to stay with their cattle when they brought it here for grazing.
Beaches.
In summertime, you can enjoy swimming in the sea. There are several nice small beaches close to the suggested parking area, e.g. Staousa and Koutsounari. Alternatively, you can find also parking space around N 35° 01.110 E 026° 01.950.
